It goes without saying, but it’s probably extremely difficult to schedule a wedding from the months of September to June if you’re a hockey player. So they simply avoid scheduling conflicts by just not walking down the aisle until the Stanley Cup has been awarded. But as such, this means that come summertime hockey weddings are happening in full force.
Now, if you’re like me at all, you cry at the mere mention of weddings. So you can imagine how moist my tear ducts have been as I’ve been scrolling through my hockey social media lately. Here are some photographs of some of the hockey weddings that have happened so far this season!
Jesper Fast of the New York Rangers, married Amanda Lindberg in freakin’ Santorini, Greece. This adorable and darling couple even created an Instagram accounts specifically for their nuptials!
New Jersey Devils right winger, Stefan Noesen, married Alyson Fryz a couple of weekends ago. They both look like they had the best day ever, complete with smashing cake in each other’s faces.
The Ottawa Senators’ Mikkel Bødker married Mathilde Caroline Meulengracht at Dragsholm Castle in their native Denmark in early July. The locale provided the most beautiful backdrop to their fairytale wedding.
Nathan Walker of the Washington Capitals is absolutely winning this summer! Not only are his team the Stanley Cup Champions (making him the first Australian to win the trophy), but he walked down the aisle with his longtime girlfriend, Taylaa Billinghurst in Sydney, Australia. Everything’s coming up Walker!
Zack Kassian of the Edmonton Oilers exchanged vows with Cassandra Gidillini at Lake Como, in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region. Both the bride and groom look absolutely delighted, so I’m willing to forgive them for taking ideas from my Pinterest boards.
Another Edmonton Oiler, Matt Benning got married this summer, so I’m wondering how all of these players coordinate who gets married when! Is there a schedule of some sort? His wife, Janelle Benning, looked absolutely stunning, and their engagement photos are the cutest damn things I’ve ever seen.
Philadelphia Flyers captain, Claude Giroux, and his now-wife, Ryanne Breton, tied the knot in New Jersey in early July. Seriously, go check out Ryanne’s instagram for some adorable photos of the two of them. They may be the cutest couple to get married this season. They clearly love each other so much that it’s making me cry.

My beloved Colorado Avalanche team captain (and literal Swedish prince), Gabriel Landeskog, married Melissa Shouldice, at The Resort on Pelican Hill in New Port Beach, California in July. They both looked absolutely stunning, and I remain a little upset that my invitation must’ve gotten lost in the mail.
