So, that was last week, let’s get into this week’s episode.
**Spoilers**
Cordelia’s Vision
The episode starts with Cordelia having a vision. Miss Robichaux’s Academy is in ruin, zombies are around her. She calls out for Myrtle, Zoey, and Queenie (but not Madison). Cordelia’s attempt to use magic to get the zombies away from her is unsuccessful.
She sees the White-faced Demon and then wakes up back underground at the Warlock’s Coven.
Following that, she agrees to let Langdon perform the Seven Wonders test to see if he is the next Supreme. Seems like a terrible idea to me. Especially because she states he can do it during the next Blood Moon, which seems like an even more terrible idea.
My girl Myrtle agrees with my thoughts saying, “Men make terrible leaders.” Say it girl, they do make terrible leaders. Also, I love how in this world of Coven men are known as the weaker sex and belittled. Not that I enjoy belittling men just for giggles, but it’s nice to hear the tables being turned on all the inherent misogyny that us women have to hear/deal with every day. Who knew AHS could have such a good positive message?
Speaking of my girl Myrtle, she mentions to Cordelia that perhaps Mallory is the reason Cordelia thinks she is fading. Myrtle talks about how Mallory UNDID the wounds to a doe they found out in a field. Which was cool and all, but I was super distracted by how much Mallory was looking like Lady Gaga’s Scathach (which Ryan Murphy confirmed in 2016 was the original Supreme and that we would find out more about her and the Witches in a later season. We are now in that later season!!)
I don’t know, maybe it’s the crowns, the nature setting, or the hair colors, but I see so much Scathach in Mallory.
Job’s in Los Angeles Are Weird
Coco is a living gluten detector. That’s her magical ability. Really. It’s so ridiculous it actually makes sense because Coco in and of herself is just so ridiculous that it’s perfect. After realizing she can detect gluten, she actually has people come to her with supposedly “gluten-free” baked goods to test them. I wish this was real life. You’d make bank.
John Henry, the ever-suspicious-of-Michael, Warlock sees the White-faced Demon in Michael during a pre-Seven Wonders celebration.
He and Chablis get into a fight over him leaving to investigate Michael’s beginnings.
But before I could get excited about John going to Murder House, he died. Because Meade killed him. Typical. What wasn’t typical and what I didn’t expect at all was Ariel helping Meade to kill John. That was a shock for me. Meade was VERY quick to whisper to Michael not to mention his father to Ariel, so when dude finds out the real origin of Michael, he is going to be so pissed. And this is AHS, so you know he’s going to find out in some horrific way.
The Seven Wonders – But With A Twist!
So, we know that Michael brought Queenie and Madison back from the dead, what does any smart Witch demand then? For Michael to have to bring back Misty Day from Hell. Obviously, the Warlocks whine about it not being fair, but Cordelia doesn’t give a care. So, Michael agrees and down to Hell he goes.
Ok, I know I am in the minority with this one, but I can’t stand Misty Day. She annoys me, probably because I feel like Lily Rabe FORCES the naivety. But, that’s just my opinion, other than her unfortunate appearance in Hotel Cortez (as serial killer Aileen Wuornos), I’ve otherwise enjoyed Lily Rabe.
Anyway, Michael goes to Hell and retrieves Misty. He also gets a super creepy message from the “students” in the class. We don’t know yet what that message was, but I’m sure it was more than a “Hi son! Your dad loves you!”
Another unpopular opinion, but did we need Stevie Nicks to show up and sing? I guess we needed that so Misty Day could live to twirl again? *sigh*
Back To Where it All Began
While Misty twirls away, Cordelia and Madison break off from the dizziness to have a chat. That’s when Cordelia tasks Madison with going somewhere to check out Michael. Behold Chablis overhears the conversation and says he wants in. I guess having John Henry throw him into a wall knocked some sense into him because he’s not so sure about Michael all of the sudden. Cordelia agrees that Chablis can go with Madison and now we have this amazing gif.
But even better than that moment is the location for next week’s episode. That’s right, y’all. Murder House. YASSSSS!
