Why has this movie captured the imaginations and Netflix accounts of women and girls everywhere? Well, the story is wonderful, and Lara Jean is a girl we can all relate to here, and I’m sure there are many well-written pieces about how Lara Jean is a great protagonist… but this is not one of them. I’m here to talk about what ALL the girls everywhere have been discussing… THE BOYS Lara Jean has loved.

Noah Centineo, Peter
Who knew all the ladies would be hot for this young John Travolta meets Staten Island, meets curly-haired heart throb in the vein of Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You. Yea, you’re gonna love him if you don’t already.
Whew boyyyy pretty sure if Noah Centineo was told his private video (yes, those kinds of private videos) would be blasted across the Tumblrs and lady’s search browsers, he might have thought twice about accepting the role. But as is such with the double standard of boys vs girls nude-y things, Noah will escape this when nary a tarnish on his record and will go on to success on a CW show as a random DC villain. He cool.
I could write a whole other post about how everyone is STANNING Noah and Lana Condor (Lara Jean) but I mean duh… can you blame us???

Israel Broussard, Josh
While I feel the love triangle of Lara Jean / Peter / Josh wasn’t fully explored to my liking, Israel as Josh was a stand out. His puppy dog looks, meets Heath Ledger’s mouth (so many Heath Ledger vibes in this), meets literal boy next door realness is the perfect Team Jacob counterpart to Noah’s Team Edward leading man.
If you’re like me and know all about calls to Nancy Jo and brown Bebe shoes, then you definitely know Israel as Marc from The Bling Ring, aka the best film about the early 2000s in LA and how teens on X burgled a bunch of celeb homes and eventually got caught. It’s just too bad this “Bon Iver wannabee” (seriously lolz cause NO.) is so problematic. I Googled him and I got real sad about it… like, liking Marco Rubio Tweets and saying stuff like “All Lives Matter” sad… so yea:
