There are documentaries and a podcast too but, in true That’s Normal fashion, the core of my prep for this weekend’s royal wedding has been binge (re)reading princess books.
Bea loves life in the Pacific Northwest, rereading old novels and weird varieties of pickles. She can dive deep on Harry Potter, Twilight, 90’s CCM, celeb fashion or foreign policy. She'll never pass up a normal-girl-becomes-princess book. She’s trying to figure out what to do when the little one goes to kindergarten, what to make for dinner and how to tweet @BeaDeeH.
It’s going to be a delight, and 2018 needs those.
Twenty year-old me would ask, “Why should I work another job so I can pay someone to clean my house?” Because, you sweet, opinionated, young thing, I have skills I’ve developed since I was twelve or twenty that make my community better, and paying someone else to mop my floors frees me up to use them.
