Over the weekend THE Jackson Maine resurrected from the dead and showed up at Ally’s show in Vegas for a duet!!! And for like, a thousand bucks we call could have been there too, crying in the very last row! But thank god we have cell phones and YouTube!
Ok, jkjk. For those who haven’t seen A Star Is Born (why are you reading this??) Bradley Cooper plays superstar singer Jackson Maine who “discovers” Lady Gaga’s character Ally, and they sing and make us love them over the course of two hours. One of the most memorable songs from the film is called Shallow, which Ally comes up with initially as a few lines in a grocery store parking lot. Jackson then fleshes out the song and they sing it live and the rest is Oscar history.
Bradley attended Lady Gaga’s Vegas residency over the weekend and the world was not the same after. Why? Because they performed Shallow for the first time ever LIVE. This is like if Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman got together and sang Come What May from Moulin Rouge together during Karaoke… or if Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews showed up at a performance of Sound of Music and jumped on stage for Edelweiss.

Also, can we talk about the damn chemistry here?!??! We spend hours lamenting the lack of chemistry between actors on Outlander and then you see something like this, where they’re actors IRL, just singing a song from their movie and the chemistry is so freaking electric, it’s hard to watch cause you’re blushing so bad.
