#TNReads Challenge 2019

Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s time for the 2nd Annual #TNReads Challenge! You know it, you love it (ok, most of you probably don’t actually remember it…). Once again in 2019, we’re challenging ourselves to read 24 books in specific categories. For some people, 24 books is a drop in the bucket (Looking at you, Angela – almost a book a day?!). If you’re planning to read 100 books this year, good for you – even with this list you’ll have plenty of room for all those smutty romance novels you devour like they’re skittles. But if 24 is how many books you’re planning to read this year, this list should be a helpful way to add some variety to what you read. Spice of life and all that jazz.

Enough rambling, here’s your 2019 #TNReads Challenge (with smut opportunities, as promised):

That’s being turned into a movie/tv show in 2019
That won an award in 2018
That you haven’t read in the Outlander series or reread The Fiery Cross so you’re ready to “well, actually…” next season
That’s the first book in a YA fantasy series
That’s an #ownvoices story
In one sitting, any genre
That’s set in your home state
That features a duke, prince, earl or rogue
From a genre that you normally wouldn’t read
That’s YA but NOT set in a dystopian future
That’s set in space
Written by someone with the same first name as you
That we’ve recommended in 2019 here at That’s Normal
That’s set in a country you want to visit
That was released in the last month so you can be part of the hype
With an LGBTQ+ protagonist
That was recommended by a friend
That’s a biography/memoir of someone from a different background than you
With your favorite color in the title
You’ve seen a character reading on TV (i.e. What We Owe to Each Other if you’re a big The Good Place fan or like Tastee from OITNB, maybe you love Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)
That you saw a stranger reading that caught your eye
That won an award in the year you were born
That’s been on your “to read” shelf for 2+ years
Who’s cover you judged (good or bad)
