Thanks to Bekah for sending me a free trial box of Hello Fresh a few months back, I’ve been hooked ever since. I swear at some point I’ll do a review of all the recipes I’ve tried but until then, I credit Hello Fresh with giving me a major appreciation for Meat Loaf that I thought could never exist. Seriously, their meat loaf recipe, is one of the best things I’ve eaten in 2017. Hint: the glaze involved the usual meat load topping of ketchup but HF adds in Balsamic Vinegar. * Cue Hallelujah Chorus *

S’well Bottle
One day I received a package in the mail with a Swell Bottle in it, turns out my brother sent it to me “just because” and because his family LOVED theirs so much. I thought, what could be the big deal, it’s a metal water bottle. Fast forward two weeks and I am telling EVERYONE about Swell Bottles. It’s like God created the heavens and the earth and on the seventh day he rested… and then on Monday he was like I have the best idea, I’m going to make the most perfect water bottle ever. That’s the story of how the Swell bottle came to be and how you can enjoy COLD water for like, 24 hours. No joke. I’m already contemplating buying the next size up.

Purging
Since I started the New Year with a purge, I’ve since done another smaller one and will be starting a third as I will be moving next month. There’s been something super freeing and exciting about getting rid of “extra” stuff that’s been laying around. Plus, I’ve learned about different apps and services to sell old stuff I don’t want like, Let Go, Facebook’s Marketplace and about a million LA based Facebook groups just for selling stuff! I’m telling you, EVERYTHING is on Facebook Marketplace. GO!

Sure, they’re basic AF like avocado toast but damn are they delicious and sort of nutritious. I’m currently ALL over Lassen’s Sweet Monster and Whole Foods’ Green and Glowing or the Ginger Ginger (add Kale) at Secret Spot if you’re anywhere near Huntington Beach, CA. Or you know making them at home in my own blender and saving like 8 bucks… but who wants to clean a blender?

Outshine Popsicles Fruit and Tea Bars
It’s so freaking hot right now in LA and I love tea so much I got super jazzed on my last Target trip with I saw Outshine’s new Fruit and Tea bar line… I’m currently working my way through the Peach Black Tea and will be hitting that Lemon Black Tea next.

The Keepers
I finished The Keepers last week and I’m still haunted by it… like, literally wake up thinking about it. Who would have thought a documentary about two middle aged women investigating the cold-case surrounding the murders of a nun and a young woman in 1969 would be so incredibly compelling? It’s probably because of how the REAL story unfolds showing us the uncompromising honestly and bravery of the “investigators” Abbie and Gemma along with survivors like Jean and Teresa and so many more. The Keepers is not for the faint of heart and will most likely wake you up at night, but it’s must-see TV. Plus the music is SOOOO gorgeous.

The Handmaid’s Tale
I’ve written about how much I love The Handmaid’s Tale already and especially the music BUT the other reason (besides everything) why you need to watch The Handmaid’s Tale is: Max Minghella and his eyebrows. I’m just sayin’.

The Big Sick
The Big Sick looks awesome and features Kumail Nanjiani from Silicon Valley and Zoe Kazan and Everybody Loves Raymond! And it’s out this weekend in limited release (everywhere soon) and I’m gonna see it and you should too!

Game of Thrones
The best show on television came out with this trailer today. There are too many questions to even begin to ponder but I have an email chain going with friends to try! And George RR Martin and HBO thought they could pull one over on us. HA! We’ll figure it all out. (we definitely won’t figure it all out.) All I know is there definitely won’t be any “lone wolves” dying. THERE BETTER NOT BE.
