So this is me at any upcoming family gathering, basically:
I am here for your rage ladies. This gift guide is for the Nasty Women in your life. So put on your shades, pour yourself some Savy Blanc, and press play.
First off, have you donated to Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, or the Trevor Project in your racist uncle’s name yet? Don’t have a racist uncle? Well, I can tell you from personal experience that donating in Mike Pence’s name felt really really good. And if your uncle asks you why he got a certificate in the mail you can just tell him this:
Look Human Apparel and Mugs
This is an awesome website for anyone with a sense of humor. It’s for nerds and fangirls and feminists and book-a-holics and pretty much anyone who reads That’s Normal, and yeah while you’re there you might as well pick up a little something for yourself too. (Click on any image and it will take you directly to the site)
Emily McDowell Studio
You might have heard of Emily McDowell when her line of empathy cards went viral last spring. She is a great spot to shop for greeting cards, but she also has some pretty fabulous gifts as well. Her Everyday Bravery pins are definitely making it into my best friends and sisters’ gifts this year and I love her totes and coffee mugs too. She’s got a mix of appropriate and inappropriate stuff which should appeal to a wide range of giftees.
I’m going to leave you with one more Leslie Knope gif, because in addition to those Biden Memes, she might be one of the only things getting me through calling my representatives every day and pestering Paul Ryan and the DOJ.
Oh, wait! You know the other thing getting me through? All of you Nasty Women out there. Hang in there. I love you. And I hope you have a blessed holiday season. And hey, 2016, don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
Today is Day 1 of our TN’s Guide to Gift’s that Don’t Suck!
