Ah, Parks and Rec, aka the show that always makes me smile with it’s cheery theme song that will be stuck in your head for days. This really was an amazing piece of television and it should be law that everyone has to watch it. Leslie, make it happen.
1.) Leslie and Ben
I mean, come one, they are couple goals. A man who supports and not threatened by his powerful and smart wife. You’ll get to see the evolution of their romance all over again. From the smallest park to running for office, Leslie and Ben will have your heart melting. They are one of my favorite couples on the small screen. Ever.
2.) Chris Traeger’s Positivity
Everyone knows a Chris in their life, someone who is always smiling and telling you it’s all gonna be ok. And at first, it can be a little annoying, but your icy heart will melt when he reveals the reason for his positive attitude is because he wasn’t expected to live long. His perfect smile and dimples put you in a good mood and make you question being so sarcastic all the time.
3.) Leslie’s Ambition
Any time you need a kick to drive yourself harder, just turn on Leslie Knope. Leslie is always outdoing herself and making a difference at the same time. She always preservers through the government red tape and people trying to get in her way. She is feminist goals.

5.) Andy and April’s Transformations
Andy started off as a couch bum who lived off his girlfriend and by the end of the series, he created and ran his own children’s TV show. And April was a bored intern who hated everything and became a person who wanted to help people figure out what they wanted to do with their life. These two are so sincere in their love and had amazing character arcs, it will inspire you as you binge on your bed.
6.) Donna
She’s fierce and she’s fabulous. Donna is always on fleek and knows what’s up. Whether she is treating herself or being a boss bitch (bonus points if you get that reference), she’s gonna make you laugh and feel like buying yourself that new watch you’ve been eyeing.
7.) Leslie’s City Council Campaign
I love this part of the series so much. Not only are you rooting hard for your girl, it brings some of the best guest characters. Paul Rudd as Bobby Newport is *literally* amazing and his campaign manager, Jen, is an amazing force of female power. Also watching Leslie’s team come together and help her win what she’s always wanted always give you feels.
8.) Pawnee’s Offensive History
Every time there is a bit about how the Pawneeans screwed the native americans, it’s hilarious (because it’s true). While I’m sure there was some native americans who held hands with the pioneers, it’s mostly a blood history between the two people. Parks and Rec recognizes that makes some awesome comedy from it.
9.) Perd Hapley and Joan Callamezzo
These two news junkies are easily some of the best supporting characters of the show. Their scenes are always hilarious. From watching “Ben Wyatt: Human Disaster” gracing Joan’s talk show or watching “Judge Perd”, these two Pawnee gems are reasons enough to start the show again.
10.) It’s just a freaking amazing show, ok?
Seriously, if you haven’t watched it, I am judging you hard. Go to Netflix immediately and start binging. Leslie is watching you (while eating waffles smothered in whipped cream).
