Enchanted Forest Artist’s Edition By Johanna Basford
I love Johanna Basford’s coloring books. Her illustrations are always so much fun to color. This book is awesome if you like to color with markers. I bought a set of Prismacolor Premier Double Ended Art Marker. The pages are super thick to allow for framing if you crate amazing masterpieces. I’m thinking of framing my pictures and making my mother put them up in her house. #YoungestChildSyndrome

Birdtopia by Daisy Fletcher
This book is beautiful. Almost too beautiful to color in. But I defiled it with my meager doodlings anyway. The neat thing about this book it that there are pages that are colored in inside it. I know that sounds terrible for a coloring book to come already colored in BUT it’s nice when you’re going for a realistic look and you forget about what a bird actually looks like. These pages are thinner than in Enchanted Forest, but hold colored pencils, gel pens, and markers nicely.
To The Moon By Sarah Yoon
Going on a beach/lake/camping trip with a large group of people this summer? Buy this book and a large packet of colored pencils, gather your guests. This book folds out to fifteen feet of spacey coloring goodness. Yeah, you heard me. FIFTEEN FEET OF COLORING!
I now know that my kitchen table is fifteen feet from my front door.
I started coloring this one and decided I needed some friends to help me out with it. I plan on handing this book out to my friends and having them do one page and then passing it along to the next person. I can’t wait to see it finished! I may have to buy a bigger house though to hang it in….
Floribunda By Leila Duly
This book is awesome! It’s on those super thick pages that can be framed and colored using whatever medium you want. My favorite part of this book is that in the front and in the back are colored pictures of all of the flowers INSIDE the book. That is a beautiful thing my friend, because this book is also big on shading and those of us who failed art need to know where to put the different shades of pink.
The Bicycle Coloring Book: Journey to the Edge of the World By Shan Jiang
This book is SUPER detailed. If you love falling into a coloring book and not stoping until your wrists hurt, this is the one for you. This is the kind of coloring book that leaves you feeling bitter that the best thing you can draw is a stick figure. Seriously. There is a kitty “flip book” inside this book that makes me giggle, because cats. Also, Godzilla makes an appearance. I would recommend coloring pencils or gel pens for this guy; while the pages are just one sided, I don’t think they would be thick enough to hold up to markers.
Keep coloring my friends, keep coloring!
