That’s Normal Exclusive: Sam Heughan, on Social Media his hair and Jamie Fraser (of course)

If you’re new to the That’s Normal world or Outlander brought you here, you may not know that my business/life*/internet partner, Nikki, and I have been writing together on the internet in one form or another about pop culture, entertainment (yes, I mean Twilight) and fandoms since 2008. We threaten to write a book sometime about our experiences behind-the-scenes of fandoms and what crazy things we’ve seen when seemingly normal women/girls/fans/boys-in-a-girls-world become consumed by the fandoms they are a part of. We’ll let you know if that ever happens!

All that to say, we’ve had some incredible experiences over the years from set visits, to red carpet events, to exclusive interviews which are equal parts fun and hard work (I AM A MEDIOCRE VIDEO EDITING EXPERT). But this was my first time in a one-on-one interview with the leading man of a book-series-turned-tv-show I love! And let me tell you, talking intimately in a quiet environment with a camera and lights pointed on your face with 10 other people, you can’t see, in the room around you, is unlike any of the experiences I’ve had before! And it was one that I LOVED. I really, really, really loved talking to Sam Heughan. He was charming, he looked amazing and my time with him flew by!

Here were my goals going into the interview with Sam

1. Don’t throw up
2. Ask him about Fan Follow
3. Get Tobias Phone number
