Guys, the long wait is over, the winter of our discontent draws to a close, our collective two year dry spell has ceased. We will finally know what true love means again! We will finally be able to walk with our heads high and our mouths turned upward! We will finally be able to fall asleep at night not wondering… WHAT IF… WHEN? Yes, all this kerfluffle is because BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH will be back in our pants TVs this winter!!!!!! Oh and Martin Freeman and some others will be as well.

This morning the internet and specifically Tumblr exploded when EW.com released the joyous exclusive news:
“Sherlock will return to PBS Masterpiece on Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. That means the show will air back-to-back for the first time with that other hugely popular and influential Brit import, Downton Abbey (which returns Jan. 5).”
And there was much rejoicing… cue my big beautiful rejoicing GIF wall!

I love that Masterpiece/PBS tried to squeeze in that bit about airing back-to-back with Downton Abbey trying to get people to care about that show again after what they did to Matthew and Cybil. You are dead to me Downton Abbey, my true Masterpiece love is back and will never disappoint and sadden me like you did!!!!!1!!!!! Ok, sorry this was about Sherlock, right?
