TN Reviews: More CBD Products

HempWorx is a CBD MLM. Now I know what you’re thinking but give me a minute to explain. Yes, TN writers have been vocal about their assorted issues with MLMs. However, I chose this route for my first CBD experience for several reasons. Shopping options in my small community are limited, I know someone who uses and likes the products and HempWorx’s prices seemed competitive. Additionally I appreciate that they publish third party lab results concerning the consistency and potency of their products.

Prior to taking CBD, my only knowledge was hearing about how my step father ordered CBD gummies online and had them shipped to my sister’s house. Now she gets inundated with mail from companies selling everything from hookahs to male enhancement products.

My friend Lindsay is a HempWorx affiliate and someone I respect and trust. I thought I might have questions through my CBD journey and I knew she would give me great customer service. She is not a pushy seller, she is just open to sharing her experience. Experience that includes using CBD pain cream after sustaining a neck injury from getting stuck in an ATM machine. For realz!

I started with a full spectrum peppermint flavored 500mg CBD oil recommended by Lindsay. It looks like swamp water but tasted like peppermint and plants. It is taken sublingually, I assume to promote quicker absorption.

Why CBD?

I am a fairly intense, type A, stressed out person, who has long had issues with anxiety and OCD tendencies (not to mention a certain amount of depression following the last presidential election). Feeling more agitated than usual since the first of the year, I hoped CBD oil would take the edge off.

Results

My first week using CBD oil I felt energized, less anxious and greatly decreased my use of melatonin to help me sleep. In week two, I still felt less anxious but seemed sleepier than normal. I talked to Lindsay who recommended I reduce my dose which helped somewhat. 

Conclusion

CBD helped me maintain my chill during a particularly stressful month. Improved sleep was another benefit, but in this circumstance I had just traded one supplement for another, abandoning melatonin and using CBD instead. l do think it made me more sleepy during the day, even at a reduced dose. Additionally, as I finished my first month using CBD oil, I had a dental cleaning. The hygienist noticed some “yellow staining” on the back of my bottom teeth, basically the area where the CBD sits under my tongue when I dose. This could be a coincidence but I thought I should mention it.

In my opinion, HempWorx CBD products are a good option for those limited in their accessibility to retailers or for anyone else. I plan to purchase the pain relief cream next. It’s not for me, it’s for my 46-year-old husband who insists on working out like a 26-year-old.
