But what will we do in the meantime? The best preparation for a new season is always to dive directly into a rewatch. My husband and I have been doing that for months with Game of Thrones and Stranger Things and VEEP. With only one season of Killing Eve to binge, you can technically re-watch it eight times in total between now and when season 2 airs. That’s almost enough.
What We Know about Killing Eve Season 2
What if you need more than just a few re-watches??? What if you need ALL THE INFO. Well, here is what we know so far.
Season 2 will pick up 30 seconds from the end of season 1, ie Villanelle will still be bleeding, but in that thirty seconds there is time for a million fan theories about where things will go. Eve interrupts an ultimate act of commitment (a Parisian proposal) while she still has Villanelle’s blood on her hands, confessing that she herself has just committed an ultimate act of commitment: killing Villanelle.
Villanelle spends time keeping herself alive, first with home remedies and then a hospital stay. According to the trailer, it seems like she will take on several different personas while still dealing with the immediate aftermath of Eve’s betrayal.
It’s still a cat and mouse game. Eve is still charged with finding Villanelle, who doesn’t seem to stop running or working or wooing. The mystery is in what gets between them, and how Villanelle’s feelings for Eve develop anew. Show-runner Phoebe Waller-Bridge said in ELLE that Villanelle won’t have the reaction that fans might expect from being stabbed by Eve in the season finale. “She’s never just straight-up upset about anything. She sees the world in a different way, so it would have a different impact on her I think.”
No Feelings? I have lots of feelings. Captivated by Villanelle in the same way that Eve is, I want to roll around in this trailer, spend time in every locale, shop the outfits online and yes, even take pics of her for my instagram. We might as well face it, we’re addicted.
So what should we do in the meantime?
Read the newest Villanelle story
The show is based on a series of novellas by Luke Jennings entitled Codename Villanelle. The author released a brand new story in the world just a few months ago: No Tomorrow. Grab a copy and feel superior to other Killing Eve fans who don’t even know it started with a book.
Watch Sandra Oh host SNL
This weekend!!! Sandra Oh is bringing every last bit of her charm and her humor and her awesomeness and HER HAIR to hosting duties on SNL, and we will be like Villanelle that night … just soaking it all up from a precarious perch on a catwalk above the hair lights … or snuggled into the corner of our couches. Either way.

Watch our On Set Interview with Jodie Comer
Yes, it’s from a different show about a different set of obsessions, but we have loved Jodie from My Mad, Fat Diary days, so getting to sit down with her on the set of The White Princess was a total treat.
Get a little Eve About It
Find out the tidbits. Do the investigating. Did you know one of our faves from Sex Education and A Discovery of Witches will be in season 2? Yep, Edward Bluemel is playing Hugo, whoever he is. Nina Sosanya from Good Omens is also joining the main cast, but no info is out yet about her character. The new head writer and exec producer for the season is Emerald Fennell, and if that’s a new name to you, you should know one thing about her: she’s playing Camilla Parker-Bowles in the new season of The Crown. So many worlds colliding moments!
