And there will never be a TV character as lovable as Seth Cohen.
Friends is reminiscent of my entire middle school through college life. I can recite episodes. I can’t say “pivot” without thinking of Ross.
Friday Night Lights, you were great. You made me want to live in Texas. You made me wish I went to more high school football games. Clear eyes, Full hearts, Can’t lose is my very favorite mantra for whenever I put my contacts in in the morning.
I even loved you Gossip Girl, and not just because Aaron Tveit played Tripp Vanderbilt
Sex in the City, Big Love, Dawson’s Creek– you are all REALLY GREAT SHOWS.
But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, comes close to The OC.
If you know what I mean, your heart just skipped a beat playing that video.
The OC was the best show because Seth Cohen was the best character.
Why these two crazy kids didn’t stay together I’ll never understand:
I’m not smiling, YOU ARE SMILING.
If you’re not you’re dead inside.
This moment forever:
Drunk Seth Cohen is one of the best Seth Cohens:
I’m a big fan of pouty Seth Cohen:
Sad Seth Cohen breaks my heart:
No one should EVER just be friends with Seth Cohen.
While I intended this post to be a lengthy essay on all the finer points of why Seth Cohen and The OC are the only tv show + characters you ever need to worry about getting acquainted with, I ended up finding a playlist of all the Seth + Summer moments and I’ve watched almost all of it. I’m not kidding. This has been the best day of my life.
You’re welcome, internet:
