The first time Stella meets John it’s in a grocery store aisle as they argue over the last carton of Mint Chip ice cream. The next time it’s when she realizes he’s her new next door neighbor. Oh and that he’s the lead singer of international rock sensations Kill John who infamously attempted suicide two years before. John is a mess. Stella is a mess. Their story is raw and heartbreaking, but its also beautiful. I enjoyed every minute of it.
You don’t need to read the previous two books in this series to enjoy Fall, but you’ll never regret reading a Kristen Callihan book.

Just when you think that you’ve learned everything you possibly could about the making of the Lord of the Rings films, they open up the vault and bring us a little bit more. 500 PAGES MORE.
Anything You Can Imagine is a truly exhaustive account of how the films came into being, including all previous attempts to make the films and the arduous process just to get the film greenlighted. Honestly, the first 20% of the book was very slow, but once they got to the casting and filming process it picked up a bit. If you’ve religiously watched all previous BTS footage, then there are some things you’ll already know, but I was surprised at all the new things I did learn. This is definitely a book for only the most devoted fans; at 500 pages you REALLY have to have a love for the minutiae and an enthusiasm for the characters and people involved.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the author’s writing style, but overall this is a great little, dangled carrot for the hardcore fans.

Poppy Bridgerton is a curious woman who manages to get herself kidnapped by a gentleman-turned-spy/privateer in this story. It is a sweet take on the prisoner falling for the captor storyline, and I really enjoyed it. Andrew Rokesby is a sweet hero who happens to love the way Poppy’s brain works, and I appreciated that the most. Julia Quinn never disappoints!
