Creepster McPouty Face
If I’m being perfectly honest, I have no highlights for episode 7. I waited all season for Ross to take Demelza to London, only to have all the fun highjacked by the utterly useless Captain Adderly. The strawberries were a nice tease, but everything that follows is so disappointing. I was basking comfortably in all of Ross and Demelza’s character development. Everyone getting along. All of the extramarital activities resolved, then bang! Literally, and we’re 15 paces back. The best part was finding out Adderly died. We won’t have to see that scowling rat-face ever again.
My Favorite Moment
I take back every bad thing I said! My least favorite episode was followed by my most favorite moment of the show ever! I didn’t even know this show needed a Morwenna and Drake, until we had them, only to have the ripped apart by that monster for the better part of two whole seasons. Morwenna deserves her happiness, even if she never quite gets over what that toe-sucking freak did to her. Although I am sure George will find new ways to rain misery upon them next season, for now, let us give thanks for this moment!
Mixed Emotions
Was anyone shocked this was coming? We all knew Elizabeth was going to do something drastic to protect the “secret” about Valentine’s paternity. The question is how do we all feel about it? I loved her the first season (maybe 2). Then she married George and made me question EVERYTHING! There was another solid season where I absolutely hated her and wished her dead. I guess I got my wish, but they sure toyed with my emotions about it.
P.S. I have about HAD IT with Geoffrey Charles. His naivety was cute as a kid, but…you know what no. It was annoying then, too. I’m over him and his dumb mouth.
Team Poldark vs. Team Warleggan Final Points
Last highlight week Team Poldark walked away with a considerable lead, but there were some major shake-ups in these last two episodes.
Strawberries. No further comment needed. +15
Will Ross ever GROW UP?! Dueling and getting shot?? -10
But he killed Adderly. +5
Geoffrey Charles is an idiot. -10
Morwenna and Drake FINALLY get married! +50
Team Poldark total= 88.5
I’ve got to give George some kudos for the way he looked at that little baby. Is there a heart in there after all? +5
They named that adorable baby girl Ursula (still better than Clowance). -5
Team Warleggan total = 5.5
Looks like Team Poldark pulled it out this season! I’ll duel anyone who disagrees.
