AHS Apocalypse: Fire and Reign

in TV Recaps on 11/09/18 by Laura Leave a Comment

This week was a wild ride. We got Russians, Illumanti, and a whole lot of dead characters. Let’s break it all down.

**Spoilers**

Road Rage Ended The World

So, long male-tirade short: Mutt and Jeff decide to end the world because Jeff has some series road rage issues and a bad cup of coffee. Venable comes in and starts questioning them about the Cooperative and wants to know more. When they both treat her like shit and undermine her, she peaces out.

Back at the Coven, Cordelia talks about how she put a protection spell over the entire Coven so that no one could enter. Dinah shows up and immediately casts another spell and breaks the protection spell.

She lets Michael and Mead into the Coven and well, she’s the reason why all the witches are now dead. Only Cordelia, Myrtle, Madison, Mallory, and Coco escape. Zoe, Bubbles, Queenie and all the other Witches were killed.

I’ve called Dinah boring several times in my recaps, but when I saw her letting Mead and Michael into the Coven, I thought, maybe she’s finally interesting. Sadly, she did it for greed, her TV show. Greed is boring.

Manipulating the Anti-Christ

Last episode we found out HOW Mead became a robot, this episode we find out that Mead is not just Michael’s surrogate mother/Venable’s right-hand lady but she is also a way for Mutt and Jeff to monitor and manipulate Michael. They talk him into ending the world via the Cooperative and nuclear weapons. Thanks guys.

Cordelia and what’s left of the Coven are hiding out in Misty’s old swamp shack, that’s where Cordelia attempts to bring back her girls and finds out that Michael killed their souls so she couldn’t bring them back.

Cordelia and Myrtle talk Mallory into doing a super hardcore time traveling spell, that might kill her, but first Myrtle talks her into a “test-run” going back in time to save the Romanov family. Mallory didn’t save the family but she did time travel and survived it, mostly unscathed.

Cordelia wants to take herself out in order to make Mallory more powerful to fight Michael. Myrtle is not a fan of that idea.

Myrtle and Cordelia decide instead, to suppress Coco and Mallory’s powers and memories in order to protect them. They then travel to what will become Outpost 3 and find all the Warlocks are dead and their limbs arranged into a giant pentagram. Spooky.

Venable is leaving and Mutt and Jeff stop her tell to offer her the chance to be an Administrator in one of their Outposts. She’ll be able to make all her own rules. We saw how well that worked out in actual practice.

And at the very end of this episode, Michael goes before the Cooperative and lays out his plans to start the Apocalypse.

We have one episode left and so many questions that need answers. What’s one thing you want to see in the season finale?
