The World Is a Better Place Because We Have Sebastian Stan and Puppies

in Entertainment on 09/18/18 by Megan Cox Leave a Comment

The list of things that bring me great joy is pretty long. It includes things like eating yummy foods, walking through the streets of a city I’ve never been to before, going to concerts and finding myself in accidental mosh pits, meeting up with friends in any place where love and laughter are plentiful, cuddling with my partner on the couch.

But also on that list are puppies. Just … puppies, man. Dogs are so friggin’ great. We, as humans, do not deserve them. The plan is to own 2 – 80 of them at some point. Most people think that I’m joking, and I have no idea what about me would lead them to believe that I’m anything other than serious.

And also on that list is Sebastian Stan, because he seems like sunshine and rainbows personified.

So, dear reader, you can imagine my glee when People and Entertainment Weekly bestowed these gifts upon us.

The Toronto International Film Festival partnered with Finding Them Homes during the festival, and attendees got in some cuddle time with the pups.

Sebastian was at TIFF this year in support of two films – Destroyer and The Last Full Measure. I’ve written about both films before, lamenting that they weren’t getting released quickly enough. So, I suppose I’ll be taking full credit for them hitting the film festival circuit. Because without me talking about it, it surely wouldn’t have happened. You’re welcome, friends!

Here’s Sebastian cuddling a puppy as a reward!

Destroyer, where he co-stars with Nicole Kidman and Tatiana Maslany, got a lot of buzz at TIFF, mainly due to Kidman’s performance. Sebastian’s role is said to be small but extremely meaningful and expertly acted. I would expect nothing less of our favourite Romanian.

It was recently announced the Roadside Attractions had acquired The Last Full Measure and is planning a 2019 theatrical release.

Now we’re just waiting on I’m Not Here and We Have Always Lived in the Castle to be liberated from post production hell. I’ll see what I can do, based on these new powers that I’ve discovered I have.

Now, back to the puppies.

I get it, Seb. I too would love to smuggle sleepy and unsuspecting pupperinos into my jacket.

Entertainment Weekly has been featuring these photos on their Instragram. There you kind find the likes of Chris Pine, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dev Patel, Viola Davis, Daniel Kaluuya, Olivia Munn, and more indulging in some puppy love!

Were you keeping abreast of TIFF goings on? Which film are you most excited for? Are you more jealous of the celebs who get to cuddle adorable puppies, or the puppies for being cuddled by celebs?
