Scratchy Bubbles
Liza and Charles return to the office from their steamy night with longing glances and – BUSHY GREYING BEARDS?! (It’s cool. Nobody panic. Liza didn’t like it either, and with one word from her, it is gone). Not before stirring some office gossip, however, as Trout points out that men grow facial hair when they are hiding something. Fortunately, watercooler chatter isn’t enough to phase the new couple. Charles asks for a little bit more time in the bubble before they have “the talk,” and whisks Liza off to THE COOLEST CAROUSEL OF ALL TIME (which is 100% real, and now I have to go to the Seaglass Carousel before I die)!
The biggest threat to the bubble comes from Charles’s ex-wife. I take back every nice thing I said about Marriage Vacation. Blackmail? Seriously, honey, you’re better than that. Pauline ran out on her husband and kids for a year to “find herself” and now she wants to throw stones at perfectly good bubbles? Much like Charles is willing to sacrifice that god-awful beard, he is willing to release Pauline from her contract to protect Liza. I say, let Pauline write whatever she wants! Come clean! The PR girl in me says Liza should release a book of her own and get ahead of the story before the bubble bursts.
Pop and Fizz
Kelsey had a good run with her double-bubble, but reality finds a way in. I would like to take this moment to say, I TOLD YOU SO! I knew that Jake Devereaux was no good! Jake sells her out and tells Charles she’s too green because she wants to pause their relationship. UhNO! Thank you Zane for having her back and telling Charles that she practically wrote that book for him. I wasn’t sure about Zane in the beginning, but I was wrong. Go get your man, girl! Or don’t. I’m so torn because she keeps mixing her work life with her love life.
Any chance Zane will go find another publishing company so they can have their happily ever after? What do you think?
