Wait no more!
This was another close vote in BBC. Well, not so much for the first place book; we all have no problem agreeing on our first choice books.

“Seven perfect days. Then he disappeared. A love story with a secret at its heart.”
More than anything, I want to read it so that I understand the cover. Is it a tree? Are they Veins? Seven-billion degrees of Kevin Bacon? Am I still showing my age if I say that I have never actually seen that movie? If Liane Moriarty is blurbing it, you know there will be some twists and turns for us to discuss. Write down somewhere all of your guesses so we can talk about them, too! Buy it.
And then the second choice…
As I procrastinated making the decision between which of the tied runner-ups would be our second book, someone voted for the book I had decided against. Isn’t that just the way of the world?
Don’t hate me, but I am going to pull rank and choose the third place book as our second book.
I know, I know, this is supposed to be a democracy!
But, I felt like a lot more people that voted for #3 didn’t vote for #1 than was the case for #2. That means more people getting to read what they wanted, y’all.
Does it help my case if I tell you I suggested #2 and didn’t even vote for #3?

If you are a library user, you need to put this one on hold yesterday. In fact both of these are going to be hard to get, so put holds on as many different formats as you can (Do you try large print? Those copies usually have half the holds).
It is on a ton of “Must Read” lists this fall, so we are reading one that everyone is supposed to be talking about. You’re welcome. Still mad at me? Buy it.
When are we doing this thing?
Because we were just too busy to get our sh*t together read this summer, we decided to bump BBC to:
September 24th @ 9/8c
Don’t worry, we checked, you won’t be missing In The Waterweeds, so you will have time to read all the things!
Still don’t know what Boozy Book Club is?
It’s exactly what it sounds like: we drink booze and talk about books. Join our group on Facebook for all things books and our monthly (except, apparently, during the summer) group book discussion, including voting for the next books we will read together.
