Antoni
Episode one was amazing in general, but the best part was Mama Tammye’s speech at the end and her glowing compliments for all the guys. But Antoni. Sweet, sweet Antoni is a national treasure and we need to protect him. His reaction to her words was incredibly moving. I tear up just watching the gif.
The Proposal
Honestly, William + Shannan forever. I bawled during the last 10 minutes of this episode (episode 2), silently, of course, so that my new roommate wouldn’t hear and think he moved in with a crazy person.
Happy Happy
Leo (episode 4) seems like someone I would love to be around. He’s joyful, open, and just seems like a goof. His reaction to his home renovation was so sweet. This is a person who’s grateful for every little thing and truly gave in to the experience that the fab five provide. His joy is contagious.
Tan and Trans
Inarguably the best part about Queer Eye is the openness of the entire process. Not only are the heroes are opening up, the fab five are opening up. And one of the best moments in Skylar’s episode (episode 5) was when Tan admitted his inexperience with the trans community. Because the “gay experience” isn’t always the same. And as long as it comes with respect and genuine curiosity, it’s ok to ask questions and learn about what other people are going through.
Bonus!
Just when you thought you would have to wait a whole year or something ridiculous for more episodes, The Fab Five went and made our dreams come true with a trip to Yass, Austrailia. In this mini-episode they make over George, the cutest little cow farmer you ever did see, as well as the local hang out in town. Even though this special episode is only 20 minutes, it will still have you crying. All George wants is to get his tooth fixed for his daughter’s wedding and to spend time with his (eventual) grandchildren. Watch this episode below!
Bonus bonus: Jonathan’s enormous mustache.
