New Shows for Fall 2018 from NBC

in TV on 05/15/18 by Emily Leave a Comment

This week in New York all of the major networks are promoting their new shows and announcing their Fall lineups. The networks try to grab advertisers’ attention with smart new shows and create buzz. New pilots get picked up, some of our favorite shows get renewed or canceled or weird things like network-hopping happen like the case of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Yesterday NBC announced new shows during their Upfront Presentation and I wanted to break down some of their new fall offerings.

Manifest

Josh Dallas from Once Upon a Time leads this new drama about a plane that disappears from radar mid-flight. The catch? No time was lost to the passengers on the plane, but many years passed to those on the ground. I hope this one has staying power. It looks so good!

New Amsterdam

The next best medical drama that I’m for sure turning into is New Amsterdam, staring Ryan Eggold and one of my favorites, Freema Agyeman from Doctor Who and Sense8. Watch this trailer and tell me you don’t want to watch this show right now!

I Feel Bad

In the comedy department is the Amy Poehler produced I Feel Bad, starring Sarayu Blue and Paul Adelstein, dropping in Thursday nights.

Other Shows Without Trailers

Abby’s – Natalie Morales will play an ex Army staff sergeant who owns a bar in San Diego.

The Enemy Within – Treason? CIA or FBI? Staring Jennifer Carpenter and Morris Chestnut. Do you trust your enemy?

The Village – An apartment building in Brooklyn where family is the one you make with people around you.

The InBetween – The Originals alum Yusuf Gatewood joins Harriet Dyer, who plays lead character Cassie Bishop. Cassie can communicate with the dead and helps the FBI solve crimes. Sounds like Medium or Ghost Whisperer, so if that’s your jam watch out for this. Interesting thing about this that has to be a spoiler for Arrow fans however: this show also stars Paul Blackthorn aka Quentin Lance. What does that mean for the current Mayor of Star City?

There are more shows to come this week, but what shows are you interested in?
