I stopped and talked to some new artists, met some that I follow on social media and found awesome new pieces for my wall. I wanted to share these fun new friends with you.
Two of the artists I had the opportunity to chat were Nubia O’Hare and Ashleigh Poppelwell who both happen to be Outlander fans and amazing artists.
Nubia O’Hare
Nubia’s artwork is feminine and bad ass that isn’t overly sexual. She found Outlander on Starz and then read the first few books for a solid month. She finished the rest of the series on audio books. I found her artwork full of characters I love and bought a few pieces to hang on my walls. Seriously check out her artwork on her socials here:

Ashleigh Poppelwell
Ashleigh Popplewell is also a fan of Outlander and was the only one at Wondercon who had any Outlander artwork. She talked to me about the TV versions of Murtagh and Fergus. She’s mentally prepared for their time in America but wishes for some time for Jamie and Claire to just be alone and out of war. Ashleigh has some amazing artwork which you should see on her website and enter the contest for one of her Outlander prints and a bookmark below.

Charles Thurston
Charles hand cuts paper artwork and layers them all in amazing one or two-of-a-kind frames. You can follow how he makes these dimensional handcrafted pieces of amazing-ness on his Instagram. From sketches to the layering, it takes between 5-15 hours depending on the complexity.
Patrick Ballesteros
I’ve been following Patrick Ballesteros for a few years and I was thrilled to finally meet him in person. I’ve loved his Little Wonder series. Last year he created a fantastic illustration in support of the Women’s March and he donated the proceeds to the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties. He did a second illustration this year which I adore. Check out our giveaway for one of these awesome Women’s prints and a few cute stickers below and see all of Patrick’s work here:

Danny Haas
I discovered Danny Haas because of Stephen Amell. He submitted an entry for a logo contest he sponsored. Danny has this great series that shows the two sides of our super hero favorites, Disney Princesses, even a Hamilton/Burr side-by-side. I actual support him on his Patreon and get monthly artwork and updates on what he’s currently working on. I have an amazing Hogwarts print currently at the framers. He has enamel pins and postcards. Seriously check him out.
