Think of this as a kind of #TNDidn’tRead, if you will.
Every so often, we are going to do a round up of romance covers that we just didn’t get to (though may some day). Why romance? You must be new here. Because romance novels are our OTP. Because we believe in happily ever afters. Because we said so.
We know nothing about the content of these books–though I made sure they had a romance tag on Goodreads. I judged their covers and sorted them based on my mood. Sometimes I made myself giggle. Sometimes you will roll your eyes at me. Either way, it is your turn to judge.
Full disclosure: this is not all inclusive; I focused on publishers that reach out to us on the regular. We get a LOT of emails, y’all.
The Discrete Covers
If you are still a little shy about your romance novel preferences, these covers will keep your secret safe with us. I would assume they are still on the “tame” side content-wise, too, but that’s just me judging them on their covers. Also, who knew that Gulianna Rancic’s husband writes romance novels?!
A Word for Love by Emily Robbins
Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton
Across the Blue by Carrie Turansky
The Hollywood Daughter by Kate Alcott
The Girl Who Knew Too Much by Amanda Quick
Room For Two by Sydney London
First Light by Bill Rancic
Always by Sarah Jio
A Treacherous Curse by Deanna Raybourn (Or the first book of the series)
Gorgeous Gowns
Confession time: I’ve never read a “boddice-ripper” (is that still an appropriate term?). I KNOW! I have the series in mind that I want to start with, but I feel like it is opening a huge can of worms and I don’t even have time for that.
My Once and Future Duke by Caroline Linden
The Trouble With True Love by Laura Lee Guhrke (Or, the first in the series)
Beyond Scandal and Desire by Lorraine Heath
The Tempest by Beverly Jenkins
Mesmerized by Candace Camp
Lady Be Reckless by Megan Frampton (Or, the first in the series)
A Dream of Redemption by Bronwen Evans (Or, the first in the series)
His Sinful Touch by Candace Camp (Or, the first in the series)
Shirtless Studs
I, frankly, was shocked at the lack of kilts this round. But, I know romance will never disappoint me in the lickable abs department. How much time do they spend in the gym every week? I appreciate you.
Surrender to the Highlander by Lynsay Sands (Or, the first in the series)
Do Over by Serena Bell
Reluctantly Royal by Gillian Archer
Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Reed by Sawyer Bennett (Or, the first in the series)
Bad Asses Doin’ Things
These were the guys that looked like they can take care of business and the gals who look like they take care of their own business. Total BAs.
The Temple by Jean Johnson (Or, the first in the series)
Aliens Abroad by Gini Koch (Or, the first in the series)
Shot On Gold by Jaci Burton (Or, the first in the series)
Dragon Blood by Eileen Wilks (Or, the first in the series)
Judgment Road by Christine Feehan
Save a Horse…
Winter must be the time for cowboys to find love, you know, when they aren’t busy tillin’ the field and wranglin’…things that need wranglin’. I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I do love a good cowboy story.
Surrender by Joan Johnston (Or, the first in the series)
True To You by Jennifer Ryan (Or, the first in the series)
Wrapped and Strapped by Lorelei James (Or, the first in the series)
Cowboy Country by Linda Lael Miller & Delores Fossen

Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs (Or, the first in the series)
Blood Fury by J.R. Ward (Or, the first in the series)
Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop (Or, the first in the series)
All That Glitters by Diana Palmer

Dangerous Mating by Milly Taiden (Or, the first in the series)
Every Dog Has His Day by Jenn McKinley (Or, the first in the series)
Spring Forward by Catherine Anderson (Or, the first in the series)
The Working Men/Caught in the Act
Eventually I had to hit covers that didn’t fit together with a perfect bow. Here we’ve got the guys that look like they’ve had a long day at the office and could use your loving to de-stress. They second half make me feel like a peeping Tom. Not that that is a bad thing.
Wild & Sweet by Rhenna Morgan (Or, the first in the series)
Some Kind of Hero by Suzanne Brockman (Or, the first in the series)
After Hours by Lynda Aicher (Or, the first in the series)
Unraveled by Lauren Dane
Long Shot by Kelly Jamieson (Or, the first in the series)
The Best of the Bunch
It’s my list and I can do what I want. These are the guys that would induce stuttering if I were to ever meet them in real life. Is it a coincidence that two have their arms over their head like they are going to do that helicopter thing that strippers do? Wait, where was I going with that? Total babes.
Indecent Exposure by Tessa Bailey (Or, the first in the series)
Playmaker by L.P. Dover (Or, the first in the series)
Man Candy by Jessica Lemmon (Or, the first in the series)
