Victoria Beckham’s Target Collection Has Me Excited For Spring

in TN Fashion on 03/22/17 by Jamie W Leave a Comment

Monday was the first official day of Spring 2017. Many of you may be thrilled about that. I, however, am not. I’m a Fall/Winter type of person, and there’s not a ton I enjoy about warmer weather. Bugs come out, the humidity makes my hair and skin terrible, and the heat gives me a headache. I do love the beach, but that’s about it. One of my least favorite things about the warmer weather is the clothing. For the most part I like to be covered, not out of any sense of modesty, but it just feels more natural to me. I love soft, fuzzy materials on as much of my skin as possible.

But a few days ago a saw this commercial, and it actually got me excited for the chance to wear some springy fashion.

It was announced some time ago apparently, but since I’m not the biggest fashionista I had no idea that Victoria Beckham was doing a line for Target. Once I saw the commercial and went to Target’s website to look through the collection I quickly wanted almost all of it. I’ve seen her various fashion collections over the years, and I really like her style. It’s relatively clean cut, with a few fun details here and there. A lot of the pieces also have a mod vibe, which is one of my favorite styles to wear. The collection will come out on April 9th, and even though I’m someone who despises shopping, I’ll be there. I will actually go to the store, and try things on. Which is saying something.

The collections is split up into several different themes, and has clothes for women, girls, toddlers, and babies. Hold on to your hats and get out your wallets. Here are the looks I like the best:

Circus Scallops

Pressed English Flowers

I love that bees are included here, since they’re essential to flowers and pretty important little workers. I’ve seen bees popping up a lot lately, so they must be a new trend. Let’s hope they’re a new trend in real life too because we need more of them. Save the bees!

English Lace

Clever Bunny

Technically for spring, but I still get to have sleeves and black?!

Pop Floral

My Favorite Pieces

These are all from the Pop Floral section of the collection and I’m dying for all of them. I’m kidding myself with the pink outfit though, because I’m way too short to wear those pants. I’d have to have them altered and they almost never look as good after, but such is life. The dresses don’t care that I’m short, and they definitely capture the mod vibe that I love so much.

Don’t you want to go back to the sixties? Minus the rampant sexism, racism, and homophobia of course. So really just for the clothes. A lot of the looks come in plus size as well, so women of multiple different shapes and sizes can look fabulous for the warm weather. I think this collection is so great that if I could I would go back in time to when I was a teeny youngster and declare Posh Spice my favorite Spice Girl.

Check out the entire line (including girls, toddler, and baby) at Target here!
