So, that said, here are my 65 thoughts on the inauguration, starting from when the Drumpf children made their appearance.
- The Drumpf boys inherited terrible hair genes. They all have unfortunate hair.
- George W Bush is always goofily happy.
- Michelle Obama is very gracious. I’d like to be friends with her.
- I feel terrible for Hillary. She looks very unhappy, which is understandable. Its gracious of her to show up, even though it is tradition. She could have skipped. I probably would have.
- Melania’s outfit is pretty, but looks rather clunky and too large. It should be tailored better, shouldn’t it?
- Obama and Biden are one of my favorite bromances
- Tiffany Drumpf always looks like she feels out of place.
- Barron is super tall for a 10 year old!
- Barack Obama is very gracious, as well. I love how he is greeting all the Drumpf children warmly.
- There’s GW Bush again. He is still happy!
- Really with the “Drumpf Drumpf Drumpf” chanting? *eye roll*
- Drumpf looks like he might have high blood pressure – he is very red.
- His hair is still unfortunate.
- He needs to BUTTON HIS SUIT COAT. Stat.
- Mike Pence is saying to himself “I will be Prez soon!”
- No one wants to greet Pence. He is having to search out people to shake hands with. I don’t think he is well liked.
- Pence is all squinty…he needs sunglasses.
- Biden and Obama are those guys that always got in trouble in class for talking when they weren’t supposed to be, I bet. I love them!
- That’s a lot of congresspeople. The music sounds like it should be a movie soundtrack.
- I didn’t know Drumpf’s middle name was John! Fitting…like a toilet.
- Drumpf is thinking “Can’t believe I made it this far! Now what?”
- Oh, don’t quote Ronald Reagan, please.
- Blunt saying we are “setting an example for democracies” makes me LOL…I don’t know what example we are trying to set.
- Blunt’s speech is already too long.
- I can’t wait to hear what Drumpf’s message is. It is probably “We are going to make America great again!” because he won’t be able to come up with anything else.
- Cardinal Dolan…why did you come to this?
- Amen.
- No. Drumpf is not light. Is that the analogy Rev. Samuel Rodriguez is trying to make with his prayer? Disagree!
- Pastor Paula White got one thing right – Drumpf is not short on confidence.
- Is it normal to cheer after a prayer? Weird.
- Weird song choice, MSU Chorale.
- Ok, this song is too long…STOP SINGING now.
- Rep. Blunt, it is not a compliment to the MSU Chorale that they were easy to find since they live down the road from you in Missouri. That is so hilarious and dumb.
- Schumer has a good speech writer…it might give people a little hope.
- Schumer knows what nadir means…awesome.
- Clarence Thomas has a nice voice. He should narrate audiobooks.
- Ok, Barack Obama is SO gracious. He really is – I would love to meet him.
- That is a lot of people in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir…I am still surprised that they came to this circus.
- I guess they are going to sing every verse of “America, the Beautiful.” It’s so long!
- John Roberts has gray hair now. He needs to update his pics on the internet!
- This moment when Drumpf takes the oath is going to be an SNL sketch, for sure.
- He still needs to button his damn coat.
- This. Is. Surreal.
- Typical Drumpf speech with hand gestures.
- Oh, that was nice of him – I like the kudos to the Obamas. He called them magnificent!
- *Eye roll* He’s giving power to the people? Blahblahblah
- Repeat, repeat
- Enough with the ok gesture with the hands, Drumpf.
- I keep hearing him breathe in through his nose on the mic. Gross.
- When Drumpf says “millions and millions,” he sounds like Dr. Evil.
- When you say “America first,” what do you mean, Drumpf? “Unless something else comes first, like oil companies, drug companies, and other big players” thinks Drumpf.
- When is he going to stop speaking?
- Drumpf just Rick Rolled us! He said “I’m never going to let you down.” LOL!
- What? Weird segue – why are we building new roads, tunnels, bridges, etc? WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?
- Uh…did he just say “there is no room for prejudice?” I don’t think he means that, since he wants to get remove a lot of people from this country.
- Stop quoting the Bible.
- “This isn’t a time for fear?” Maybe for you, sir. Not for many others!
- “The time for empty talk is over.” YES. Please stop talking.
- Oh wait, he isn’t done! “You will never be ignored again!” Unless you are a woman, minority, etc.
- Oh, I was right – he just finished with “make America great again!”
- Ok, really – he just shook hands with everyone except the Clintons. 🙁
- The ceremony isn’t over yet?
- All I just heard was that Franklin Graham is going to do a prayer. Yuck.
- Oh – I think Rev. Wayne Jackson just threw some shade. “We shall overcome.” Excellent!
I feel no more patriotic than I did before I watched this thing. I am sure I will be seeing plenty about how awesome our country is now on social media. It might be time for a break.
So overall, I wasn’t impressed with the inauguration itself. I think our country is so divided, and I think people have a reason to be fearful. How do we know what is going to happen? No one has any idea how Drumpf is going to do in office. I HOPE that there is nothing but wealth, happiness and prosperity for the next 4 years. I think maybe hope is what draws all Americans together, year after year, even when things are the worst they have ever been. America is already great. I think now is a time of immense change in our country, and maybe things will go well, maybe they won’t, but we are all here together. Let’s hope everyone comes out on top.
