Dessert is being made, and it gets… intense
Newt, there is no such thing as having no preference between pie and strudel. One the one hand, they’re similar enough, but on the other and more realistic hand, pie is delicious and strudel is straight up trash. I get that you’re all into the animals and whatnot, but this is something you need to develop an opinion on. Stick with me, I’ll get you straightened out.
Our No-Maj friend Jacob however, seems to have quite the opinion on his desserts. He is into it. I get that he dreams of being a baker, and is amazed by the magic that he’s seeing as well as thoroughly delighted by yummy pastry, but his reaction seems a bit sensual. Granted, I’m not really a “foodie.” I like to cook, and I like food to taste good, but also…calm down, man. It’s just food. He seems sweet overall though, so I’ll let it slide.
Newt and the Niffler
This Niffler is just like your pet who gets busted doing something they know they shouldn’t be doing. Newt could not be any less subtle trying to recapture the little sucker, Swinging from the chandelier and smashing windows. Well done Newt! Absolutely nobody will ever know you were there.
At Entertainment Weekly’s PopFest this past weekend new footage was shown to the audience (which will probably be released to the public soon), and Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston were interviewed for the crowd.
Eddie is just the cutest isn’t he? On the days when you imagine that the man of your dreams is sweet and slightly awkward, Eddie is so that type of guy. Get a load of that Mr. Rogers sweater. 1000% would he tuck you into a snuggly blanket if you were cold.
There were a lot of fun pieces of info in these interviews, like how Eddie got some tips on how to use a wand from watching the Harry Potter movies and stealing everyone’s moves. Solid strategy, that’s what I would have done, too.
Another little tidbit of information was just revealed by director David Yates: the setting of the second Fantastic Beasts film will be Paris! Seeing magic throughout the world is going to be one of the big highlights of this franchise.
I can’t wait for this movie! We need more Harry Potter in our lives, pronto.
