Take Dwight and Caroline, for instance:
They’re adorable, and they have some serious chemistry.
You know they’re thinking Tonight, finally, we can take all these annoying layers of clothes off!
But you can tell that as much as they both want this marriage, they have some real doubts. Dwight doesn’t want to sneak off into the night with Caroline. He doesn’t want to leave his friends. And even Caroline had her moments:
She’s teasing Demelza, but you just know she really wants advice. She’s a British woman from 200 years ago, so she can’t come out and say anything Demelza would actually understand to get the help she needs–but you can see she’s trying, in her way, to get it.
But then it comes to this:
I was glad Dwight set the bonfire and saved Ross. But the whole time he was with his patient and playing “Catch the Snitch,” I was yelling at him: “GO GET CAROLINE!”
So what do you think is going to happen with the two of them?

Then there’s this:
I’m so SICK of the two of them. Ross, walk out the door of Trenwith and don’t walk back through it until the only person you want to “call on” is your wife!
She’s the one supporting you as you sink the last of your money into a worthless mining venture and not beating you with a fire poker when you continue to allow smugglers to use the cove AND HER HOUSE!
And, of course, the smugglers nearly get caught.
I had no idea how Ross was going to wiggle his way out of that one. But between Demelza scaling rooftops, running through the woods, and being sick with worry over him, I was glad when it ended like this:
Seriously, Ross, why would you want to give up this woman for Elizabeth?
But the best moment of the episode was won by Aunt Agatha.
It was epic–possibly even topping the ultimate Lady Violet moments.
So, what do you think? Was Aunt Agatha drawing the gun your favorite moment of the episode? Ross crawling out of his hidey-hole? Demelza jumping off her roof? Let’s discuss!
