And along with loving Hamilton, came love for its creator aka Lin-Manuel. There are a million and one reasons I love him and I cannot fully disclose my admiration in one post, but I hope to convince you that he is a amazing human and deserves all the awards.
One of the reasons that I love him is his twitter. Please, drop everything and go read his tweets. He is the nicest and purest person there is. From sweet morning tweets to inspirational goodnights, he is always killing it on Twitter.
And of course, we can’t forget the famous Yay Hamlet moment.
He also married a total badass. His wife, Vanessa, is a chemical engineer who is also a lawyer. They also went to high school together and he is never shy about his love for her and dedicates multiple sweet posts to her. I want their love.
He also surprised her at their wedding by doing a performance of “To Life” and had all their friends and family join in. Hubby goals.
They also named their child Sebastian because of Lin’s love for The Little Mermaid. I MEAN COME ON? How can you not love him?! He is one of the geniuses of our time and he named his son after a singing crab. And that’s just the best thing I ever heard.
He also refers to himself affectionally as “old man Miranda” when he doesn’t understand the internet or what the youths are talking about. Like when he just wanted to laugh at text posts on Tumblr.
Another reason I adore him is just because it seems like he has a real passion for helping people. From bringing so many students to go and see Hamilton to setting up HAM4HAM, which allows people to enter a lottery to win tickets for Hamilton for only $10. He just seems like a kind soul and those are the best.
JUST LOOK AT HIM! Sigh…
And lastly, he created something that will last for a long time and he still seems very humble. He attributes all his success to his close family and friends. Basically, I just have a huge giant teenaged crush on him. And I know whatever he does next will be great. Keep doing you, Lin-Manuel, the world will love it.
