It’s here: The Sherlock Season 4 Trailer

I was out of the country last week and unfortunately missed out on most of the San Diego Comic Con shenanigans (Pro-tip: if you haven’t already you should definitely go read about it now because the TN team killed it this weekend). So upon landing stateside I turned on my phone and was instantly emotionally assaulted by the new Sherlock Season 4 trailer, which was revealed at the Sherlock Panel at SDCC on Sunday. AND OH MY GOD an airport is not a suitable place to fan girl properly let me tell you. Especially not when the showrunner’s had described this season as the darkest yet, which had me feeling that viewing it might feel a lot like this:

I was not entirely wrong in that assumption as you will soon see:

There’s car chases and shoot outs and explosions and hospital rooms and Sherlock looking ill and terrified and scruffy and very un-Sherlocky and IN PAIN, but I can sort of breathe because Captain John Watson of the Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers is obviously on the case and in addition to all of that, holy shit what an awesome slew of villains awaits us! I don’t know about you but I got major chills.

It was a big weekend for fans, especially fans of superheroes (Wonder Woman/Black Panther/Captain Marvel anyone? I AM 100% Fuck Yes) and also anyone who has a bad case of Cumberthirst because in addition to the Sherlock trailer they also released the newest Doctor Strange trailer which looks pretty awesome tbh (Aaaand also the definition of Your Fave Is Problematic for it’s whitewashing of Asian characters, which has already been discussed by people much smarter than me so I’ll just leave that here).
