Real Quick SDCC Recap Day 2: American Gods, Zachary Levi, and MORE

We are back with a Day 2 SDCC recap! And this is going live on… DAY THREE. Because Day 2 was busy guys! Here is what we were up to:

I did nothing. It was amazing. No, really. I did nothing. I went to the pool with Heidi who flew in for the day and evening. I have no regrets.

Then, we threw our 2nd annual TN SDCC Happy Hour last night with MUCH success:

My holy grail, that beacon I wrapped my schedule around this year, was American Gods. The panel was yesterday afternoon and Katy and Julie and Katie were with me in the panel for what was easily the greatest thing ever. Yvette Nicole Brown moderated perfectly (because she’s a fangirl who knows what she likes and why), Bryan Fuller looked adorable and  happy like always. Bruce Langley (Technical Boy) was funny and smart. Yetide Badaki was gorgeous and had a wonderful connection to Gaiman that was totally serendipitous. Pablo Schreiber was completely impressive and Ricky Whittle was exactly as earnest and excited as you expect him to be for this project.

I felt like the panel belonged to Gaiman and Ian McShane, but my favorite moment had to be when Kristen Chenowith was announced as Easter … and came out to much applause (and maybe some tears from me). Ok, yes. I cried. I cried a lot yesterday.

After spending 6 hours in line waiting for the Game of Thrones experience on Thursday (big fan of the show. The experience? Meh.), Patricia needed to really get her Con going. She started her second day by being serenaded by the adorable Zachary Levi. Aka Flynn Rider *permanent heart eyes*

The crowd sang happy birthday to the amazing attractive Clive Standen (Rollo in Vikings). He shares a birthday with Patricia. She yelled out it was her birthday too. And then He wishes her a happy birthday and tossed her a special Vikings shirt.
And now she can die happy.

My day was filled with wandering around the Comic Con floor and people watching. I scored some pretty amazing exclusives (more on that later). After filling my giant Supernatural bag full of must haves, I met up with my husband and his friend for a late brunch, early lunch at BarleyMash (600 5th Ave). If y’all are in San Diego and want a great meal that features some of THE BEST fries I’ve ever had, then GO THERE.

We hit up the Square Enix event and their beer garden. Square Enix was great (AND FREE). They have a bungee-moon bounce-shoot laser guns thing, a rock wall, and go carts. Go there and do those things. So. Much. Fun.

Did I mention that time I met Mark Summers and smashed a pie in my husbands face? On camera? Because that’s a thing that happened. More on that later. PROMISE! Just know that whip cream is a bitch to get out of your hair.

We are headed to the convention center RIGHT NOW for Day 3 … full of movie panels in Hall H, selfies on convention floor and of course, some more parties.

Friday at Comic-con and where was I? AFTER buying new shoes (a whole other story) I was at the GAME OF THRONES panel! Where else? Besides everyone losing their minds over Hodor (shouting Hodor), Kristian Narin the cast answered fan questions wherein Sophie Turner ruled the panel, they also showed an amazing blooper reel.
Do we really have to wait a year?!??!?
