Last night was preview night, and today kicked off day 1. We’ll be telling you in more detail what we did, but here’s a preview and recap of Day 1!
Patricia
After only 4 hours of sleep and functioning without coffee, I was able to score Nerd HQ tickets to… wait for it…
TOM HIDDLESTON!!!!!
Bekah
I saw Beth
That’s all.
JK.
Last night was preview night and it was so crowded and I was like WHY DO I COME HERE AGAIN?
Here are things with lines too long for me to wait in:
American Gods
The Walking Dead
Plus I saw these cute things:
And today we sat in an a panel for the Snowden movie featuring Oliver Stone, Zachary Quinto, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tris (reduced to TV) Prior:
We got to see the new trailer (which of course is now online) and the film looks AMAZING:
Then we hiked it over to the Man in the High Castle Press room for a bunch of interviews and pictures with the HOTTIES of post WWII .Come at me poor man’s Aaron Tveit:

Geek and Sundry put on another great panel this year! Felicia Day (aka my new goal BFF), her brother Ryan and the rest of the G&S crew told hilarious stories about Ryan torturing Felicia on the drive down with the world’s worst 90’s playlists, hated on shrubs, Jack Johnson and JavaScript and waxed poetic on the importance of failure. Out of next season’s hilarious sizzle The Escape show, is where celebrities are dropped into escape rooms and have to work their way out, is my pick for must see!
The premiere of NBC’s new comedy The Good Place, starring Ted Danson and Kristen Bell, looks hilarious. Kristen (aka another goal BFF) plays an insufferable self-absorbed woman who mistakenly ends up in “the good place” after death, and needs to learn to be good to avoid being booted. Kristen Bell has some amazing comic chops, and it’s so much fun to see her be an epic asshole!
The Silicon Valley panel was a masterclass in comic improv. Holy shit, where do I start?Thomas Middleditch’s impersonations of Kumail Nanjiani? The running gag about the producer’s legendary cruelty to animals? Or the point when they asked the sign language interpreter to sign “butt chugging”? Total comedy mayhem. Sadly, we learned nothing about what season 4 will bring. #wah

Thursday = Hot Dads of Comic-con
You probably know the viral Instagram sensation, Dilfs of Disneyland well, ladies, we need to make a new one called Dilfs of Comic-con because Thursday was alllll about the dads!
Trolls
We kicked off the day bright and freaking early in Hall H for Trolls. No, we weren’t trying to relive our childhood memories of ugly faced dolls with crazy hair. Trolls is Dreamworks animated film featured HOT DAD Justin Timberlake (and cool non mom, Anna Kendrick). Beyond showing us 20 minutes of the movie, we got to watch a clip of Justin Timberlake singing True Colors to troll Anna Kendrick and we maybe almost cried. Really.
Dilfs will do that to you. #Feelings.
Snowden
Next up, the light and breezy Oliver Stone movie, Snowden which tells the story of political exile Edward Snowden who leaked secret files telling the world the NSA and the Government were spying on it’s citizens without their knowledge. Totally perfect for a Thursday morning Comic-con crowd. JKJK, it was actually quick an interesting conversation…
“We are promised privacy in the constitution and if the govt is going to change that they have to be open about it.” –@hitRECordJoe #sdcc

Dad in the High Castle
Rufus Sewell aka the bad guy in like, every movie and TV show is a super hot, SMART Dad in real life. We honestly could have chatted with Rufus for hours about history and TV and what little league his kids plays for.
We’ll have more videos from the Man in the High Castle soon! Like, as soon as we get them edited. Anyone want to be a video editor at TN?!?!?
That about does it for Day 1! We’re off to parties tonight. Make sure you’re following us on Instagram and Twitter and Snapchat for the INSIDE look at #TNSDCC!
