Abbi Abrams from “Broad City”
If you haven’t seen “Broad City”, you are really missing out. It’s a New York City based comedy surrounding the lives of two best friends just trying to get through early adulthood. Abbi is the other half of a duo that represents how to balance fun and work in your twenties. Abbi is your girl. From being seriously offended by the lack of truth in Tinder profiles to running into your dream guy and losing it to trying to be taken seriously at work to her “un”healthy obsession with Bed Bath & Beyond. Abbi makes me feel less alone in trying to be an actual adult and holding onto my inner child.
Tyrion Lannister from “Game of Thrones”
Everyone on the face of the planet has heard of Game of Thrones, but not everyone knows what a treasure of a character this man is. Among the literal hundreds of characters on that show (I mean who can keep track, it’s ridiculous) I would watch the show just for him. Did you hear me, Jon Snow? Whether it’s his actions (standing up to irate dragons) or his words (is there anyone he hasn’t burnt yet?), he will win you over with his wit and his love of wine…because same.
Vanessa Ives from “Penny Dreadful”
She honestly may be the most intriguing woman to ever grace the small screen. Vanessa is a freaking trooper. This girl is constantly chased by some kind of evil and she’s hanging in there. But, seriously. She has survived an asylum, a crazy baby killer, and a possession. Also, I’m pretty sure she had sex with the devil. This show is madness, but it’s edge that makes it and Vanessa stand out from the crowd. She’s been through hell and back (literally) yet still has a tender heart. Eva Green gives Vanessa depth and layers that keep me coming back for more.
Jamie Fraser from “Outlander”
Do I really need another reason? Good, moving on.
Danny Rayburn from “Bloodline”
You may be thinking who the hell is this? And after googling, you may be thinking WTF? Alright, he may not be one of those characters you watch to memorize every muscle of their body or dream about running your hands through their hair. You may actually hate Danny. But I guarantee he’ll have you clicking the next episode button faster than Jamie Fraser can say Sassenach. The most interesting thing about Danny – the black sheep of his wealthy family – is you know his fate from the first episode. He’s a character that will keep you guessing until the very end. Trust me, I watched all 13 hours in 1 day and you know, I’m proud of that.
