The all-star cast included Sara Bareilles, Rebel Wilson, John Stamos, Tituss Burgess, Darren Criss, Norm Lewis and Joshua Colley. Oscar Winning composer, Alan Menken was there as our fantastic opening act. You know his work from more than just The Little Mermaid. Think of your favorite recent disney musical movie or cartoon and he probably had a hand in it. From Aladdin to Hunchback to Enchanted and headed to theaters March 2017, Beauty and the Beast.

I tried to “go live” on Facebook while I was there Saturday night, but sadly, so did everyone else. So my video is choppy and not the best audio. I did however find some of the best bits on youtube to share with you. You don’t want to miss Rebel Wilson as Ursula, John Stamos as Chef Louie and Darren Criss as Prince Eric. Because some of the movie characters didn’t have songs, they preformed songs from the Broadway version. Norm Lewis is currently King Triton on Broadway and Joshua Colley who played Flounder is currently in Les Miserables. (Bonus: Broadway junkies check out the end of this post for a quick little Joshua Colley tribute. The most amazing 14 year old singer I’ve heard in a long time!)

Josh Colley Tribute
When Josh Colley stepped on stage I realized I had heard him sing before, and I haven’t seen him in anything. What I had seen him in is a video from MCC Theater fundraiser called Miscast where Broadway’s best and brightest genderbend some of our favorite roles.
Josh was joined by Luca Padovan currently in School of Rock and Douglas Baldeo from Kinky Boots in this fantastic rendition of The Schuyler Sisters from Hamilton.
