Goodreads just launched a new service called Goodreads DEALS … a daily email about online e-book deals personalized to your tastes, your to-read shelf, your favorite genres or the authors you follow. You don’t have to go searching for Amazon daily deals anymore, or wade through BookBubs very often mediocre selection of 99¢ or free e-books that you’d never read anyway. Now, thanks to Goodreads Deals, you will get a notification that a book you are already interested in is on sale.
Goodreads Deals is now my dirty dealer: pushing daily cheap ebooks based on my own personal brand of heroin … ie the books I want to read. I got my first email today, and it was 99¢ book deal for The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter, which has been on my Want to Read shelf for years, that I honestly forgot about, but is something I’ll definitely pick up for less than a buck.
I don’t expect that every deal will be something that I want to read, especially if I go in and update my favorite genres like their email suggests. But I can definitely get on board with them sending me deals based on books and authors I’ve tagged as interested in. Yay, Goodreads!
If you aren’t on Goodreads now, go sign up. It’s a great place to keep track of what you’ve read and what you want to read, to get book suggestions and to talk books.
