Entertaining Books that Will Appeal to Everyone

in Books on 05/21/16 by Team Normal Leave a Comment

We absolutely love our books here at That’s Normal, so we thought we would look at some of the books that we have encountered recently that we found very entertaining to read. Books are wonderful ways to entertain yourself with information, wisdom, opinion and perspective available in a little bundle of pages (or an electronic file for the e-book fans out there).

There are so many books out there that offer value and entertainment, so what exactly should you read? These titles will appeal to all sorts of reader so have a read below and feel free to message us with your own books and we would be happy to add them to this list. The following titles have been selected by us so check them out!

To Kill a Mockingbird

Written by Harper Lee, this is a book that many of us will have read in school and if you haven’t read it already, buy it now! It’s most definitely worth a read as an adult for a different perspective. The story tells the tale of Jean Finch (scout) and Jeremy (Jem) who encounter the reclusive Arthur “Boo” Radley. A must read!

Emotional Intelligence 2.0

A self-help book that argues that emotional intelligence is critical to success and how to understand it in more detail. This book focuses on how to make improvements in your life and use self-awareness and self-management to achieve your fullest potential. This is something a bit different but an extremely interesting read.

Keep Grandma Off the StreetsTales from the Bingo Hall

This is one of the few recommended gambling-themed books out there and it tells the story of an experienced bingo hall manager and the customers that he encounters throughout the years. It’s a light-hearted and humorous tale about the attitudes of bingo players and how they behave in a traditional bingo hall as opposed to online bingo sites.

Man’s Search for Meaning

Written by Viktor E. Frankl, this is based on the authors on experience in a Nazi death camp and Frankl makes the argument that you cannot truly avoid suffering but you do have the power to influence how you cope with it and ultimately move forward with a renewed purpose. This book is not for the faint of heart but offers an emotional and ultimately satisfying read.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Another classic self-help book which focuses on personal development and offers a different perspective and insight into how a principled approach to life and lead to the best possible outcome. This book is critically-acclaimed and has been written by Stephen R. Covey who explains how you can overcome personal and professional problems.

The Notebook

There is every chance that you have seen the famous film starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, but it all started with this book by Nicholas Sparks and is more than just a love story. It is one about the choices that are made and the hardships faced by many. It takes us on a journey and emphasizes the importance of understanding who is important in one’s life.

There we have it! Just a few books that we have all enjoyed reading here at That’s Normal. Some titles you may recognize and others you may not but definitely check out a few of the titles that we have listed and feel free to drop us a message with your own. Happy reading!
