But another big indicator that we are fully entrenched in the month of April: Outlander is back, and since we are 100% not an Outlander fansite, we are of course dedicating a huge portion of our coverage time and post space to it. Every week is a new Hangoutlander, so our hangout lives will be very busy.
This is sad news for fans of live Boozy Book Club Hangouts, because we will be suspending those until August. BUT … #TNBookClub is NOT going away. We will still have a book every month to read and discuss together online: twitter and our Goodreads group. This month, our book is the BRAND NEW (out today!) RELEASE:
Fellside by M.R. Carey
If you read mega-phenomenon The Girl With All the Gifts, you know that M.R. Carey is really masterful at writing suspense with a gigantic amount of heart. Fellside is touted to be just as good, if not better.
The author wrote me a very personal Goodreads email that I found in my junk mail folder this morning. He said about Fellside,
The Girl With All the Gifts was a post-apocalyptic thriller. My new novel Fellside, on sale today, is firmly set in the real world. In fact, in one of its bleakest locations—a newly built “titan” prison in the middle of the remote and desolate Yorkshire moors.
Jess Moulson is a woman condemned and vilified for the murder of a child, but it’s a murder she doesn’t remember committing. Sentenced to life in Fellside, she intends at first to kill herself. But that resolution falters when she meets the ghost of the boy she killed, who gives her a message—and an urgent reason to go on living. Jess has a debt to pay and a task to perform. All of Fellside’s residents, guards and inmates alike, will be changed by what she does next.
LADY PRISON! GHOSTS! Let’s do this.
