Meanwhile, Rosa, Amy, and Gina all decide to stand up against their fears and overcome them. While Captain Holt and Boyle work the “high profile celebrity” case that Jake wanted so desperately. Good times in the Nine-Nine.
Captain Holt Fanboying
Watching Captain Holt fanboy over a man who plays the oboe. You read that right. The oboe. Captain Holt. Fanboying.
Overcoming Fears
When Amy realizes that Rosa is violently afraid of giving blood (or being drained as she refers to it), she decides that Rosa, Gina, and herself should all work on their fears and overcoming them to become a stronger sisterhood. Gina and Rosa were just super happy to lock Amy in the trunk of a police cruiser for forty-seven minutes. Gina’s fear? Business men. You know what Gina? I get it. They scare me too. Gina walked right up to a group of business people and completely bullshitted her way through a conversation, it would have been so funny it hurt if it wasn’t actually somewhat true.
Operation Beans
Because when you leave Hitchcock and Scully alone to do anything, it’s ALWAYS going to be a shit show. For instance giving them a drug bust where they make up a crazy under cover story about being from the Texas Mafia called…”The Dallas Buyer’s Club”. But then Scully did whip out some pretty solid bean nick names. Jake was Pinto, Terry was Mung, and Hitchcock was Chickpea. Good job Scully, extra street meat for you!
Operation Beans Phase 2: The Refrying
Of course Scully and Hitchcock’s plan failed. Scully was taken as a hostage and it was up to Jake, Scully, and a REALLY angry Terry to save Hitchcock. When even that plan failed and all the men found themselves in a room duct taped to chairs, it was Scully and Hitchcock to the rescue. Hitchcock with his amazing skills at never leaving his chair and Scully with his super…overly productive sweat glands. With a triumphant yell Scully burst through his duct tape and shouted: “It’s not sticky because I’m so juicy!”
There are so many jokes I could make here, but I’m going to take the high road and walk away with some dignity.
That’s what she said. DANG IT! So close.
That’s what he said.
Sorry guys, I just couldn’t help myself.
Rosa Overcoming Her Fear
Finally it was Rosa’s turn to face her fear. Giving blood. Being drained. Laying on the little blood giving bed, she bravely turn to the unsuspecting phlebotomist and screamed: “Just do it! Stab me! Drain me!” Oh Rosa. You’re just perfect, you do you boo boo.
Being able to see Hitchcock and Scully out from behind their desks was awesome. It’s also been great to see the character development that Captain Holt has been under this season as well. He isn’t so stoically straight faced this season as he’s been in the past. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
