From what we can gather, DJ is widowed, just like her father (nothing says comedy like a cruel twist of fate of an obviously cursed family, but I digress) and moves back to her dad’s home. Stephanie moves in along with Kimmy Gibbler and her daughter to help out with DJ who has two boys and a baby. While it may seem unlikely that everyone would want to live together in the same house, people who understand the San Francisco housing market would get it. There could have been an entire episode of DJ looking at houses/apartments only to be outbid by some kid fresh out of school working for some big newly acquired app and is now worth millions.
Netflix recently released photos from the first episode and I can only guess what the episode will be about.
Cat Apparel
DJ. who had been a stay at home mom, realizes that her husband was in a ton of debt and now the insurance payments won’t last for much longer. After some hair-brained schemes to come up with some quick cash, DJ notices all the compliments that Kimmy gets on her cat cardigan. The ladies decide to start a cat apparel online store with Kimmy coming up with the designs, DJ managing the business and Stephanie doing promotion — who knew her music scene friends would love all those cat prints? Hijinks ensue.
90s Night
Hoping to cheer DJ up and possibly get her laid, Kimmy and Stephanie try to make the process as easy as possibly by dressing up in the decade in which DJ last dated. Kimmy hopes some hot nerds will turn DJ into quite the animal in bed.
Clearly, this is the only way this photo can be interpreted.
Hormones raging
Still thinking Kimmy’s daughter and DJ’s oldest don’t get along, Kimmy is shocked to walk in on both of them kissing. Unsure of what she saw, Kimmy tries to trick these two enemies or possible kissing buddies to reveal their true feelings. Hijinks ensue.
On a side note, you know this kid must stare at Jodie (Stephanie)’s boobs all day because I would.
Life Lessons
After realizing that Danny Tanner never bought new furniture because he was sentimental over all the life lessons learned in that room, the girls band together and swear that no matter what, they will pool their money to buy a sofa that will actually comfortably sit 3-4 people. The episode flashes back to all the good times found on the couch. No one misses Michelle.
I probably shouldn’t quit my day job to become a screen writer, but I will at least enjoy the first season when it premieres February 26 on Netflix.
What do you think the new episodes will be about? How did I not notice how ridiculously small their couch was (is it just a love seat?)
All Fuller House stills found on EW.
