Shannara Chronicles
Fan of the Shannara Chronicles and live in the Seattle area? MTV and Sonar Entertainment today announced that they will partner with Seattle’s iconic EMP Museum in celebration of the forthcoming premiere of the epic new fantasy series, “The Shannara Chronicles.” Based on world-renowned author and longtime Seattle resident Terry Brooks’ international best-selling novel series, “Shannara” fans can look forward to twice-daily, advance screenings of the highly-anticipated series at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in EMP’s JBL Theater along with an exclusive display of props from the show in the Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic exhibition. The screenings and special display will run from Monday, December 21 until Thursday, December 31 and will be included with EMP admission. “The Shannara Chronicles” will premiere January 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
“Having given almost forty years of my professional life to writing the ‘Shannara’ series, I am very pleased to be able to share with friends, family and readers the premiere episode of the MTV adaptation of ‘The Shannara Chronicles’ at EMP,” said Terry Brooks, Seattle native, author and executive producer for the series. “I’m pleased beyond words to be able to tell one and all that this is a true representation of my work and an experience I think everyone will want to share.”
