The Last Ever "Mockingjay Part 2" Trailer Is Here. Let's Cry.

Fun fact: I don’t have a series to look forward to once Mockingjay Part 2 comes out in November. Harry Potter has been done for some time now. The Fantastic Beasts movies seem like they’ll be cute, but it’s not the same. I lost interest in the Divergent series after the first book and movie. I’ll read the new gender swapped version of Twilight that just came out, but again, it’s not the same. So Mockingjay Part 2 is it. I’ve never been in this position before so let’s see how I handle it. Prediction: not well.

There’s only about a month and a half left until The Hunger Games saga comes to a close, and the first beginning-of-the-end milestone has been checked off with this last trailer for Mockingjay Part 2. Thankfully it’s a good one. It’s mostly the same footage that we’ve seen in the previous trailers, but with a few additions that make watching it extra painful for the fans. Woohoo!

There’s a shot of Beetee and Coin at 0:45, which I’m assuming is from the scene where all the former victors vote on whether or not to hold one last Hunger Games.

Effie looks like her old self again at 0:47 and Johanna effortlessly rocks the bitch face as per usual at 1:02. I hope that one day my withering glare of derision will be as amazing at hers. It seems unlikely, but a girl can dream.

If you’re dreading the scene with Finnick and the lizard mutts as much as I am you’ll be delighted to see that it looks even more horrifying than it ever has before! Them crawling at 1:09? I’m going to be watching it through my fingers for sure. For those of you who haven’t read the book, right after this sequence Finnick pops right back up and emerges victorious from the battle, then he and Annie go on to live on a farm and make jam and be incredibly happy and live to be 106.

There was also a new round of stills from the movie that released not too long ago:
