I moved to an apartment after living in a fabulous house with flower beds and raised vegetable gardens over a year ago. I didn’t realize how much I would miss being able to dig in the dirt, grow my own vegetables and have windows and land with direct sunlight.
Fast forward a year plus and I have Pinterest boards dedicated to gardening with an emphasis on indoor gardening. I pore over tables on which plants are best in low, medium and direct sun (guys, I live a wild life), I spend way too long at the nursery thinking about size and water usage. It’s like I’m the lead singer of Guns and Roses and this is the 80s. Living the rock life SO HARD.
You’re probably all best friends with the succulent plant by now, easy to keep alive, easy to propagate (who knew?!), beautiful muted colors and did I mention hard to kill! That’s big in indoor gardening, when sunlight is sometimes hard to come by, a hardy plant that won’t freak out at the nearest sign of a cloud, or oops, closed blinds or oh yea, I need to water this thing, huh?
Might I also recommend (this is like my fine wine recommendations) a Sansevieria plant. In the image above it’s the plant with long, blade like leaves. They work well inside, plus grow tall to provide some nice height to your garden. Or just a good ol mini saguero cactus, cause it reminds you of being home in Phoenix like Bella. (EGBTT)
Here are some helpful sites, links and diagrams I’ve seen for those wanting to start their own indoor garden at home or work! Oh, imagine that plants that don’t die at work! Someone call Van Halen, shit’s getting wild in here!

Now that your indoor garden is in order, time for a refill and maybe this time go ham and try the pumpkin spice creamer flavor.
How do you start your morning? Any gardeners out there? Let’s dish!
