It’s like Taylor Swift #SupernaturalSquad video montage.
Let’s break it down:
- Simon is too hot.
- That rune symbol is on her damn birthday cake. That’s overkill. And what kind of baker makes cakes for demon hunters?!?!
- Magnus is having some sort of Mad Hatter orgy that I do not understand.
- Jace’s lips and his hair are beyond hot.
- Simon is too hot.
- Every time there is a giant moon behind a character, we all know where this is going. LycanTROPE. AMIRITE?
This teaser does not disappoint me. The tone looks superhero-y … like ABCFamily took a page out of the CW and decided to do a show with good special effects and a mythology to boot. YAY.
But, then …

Let’s break it down.
- That dissonant lullaby is making my cochlea bleed.
- Every scene with Jocelyn in it is painful. Painful.
- I will agree with Clary WHOLEHEARTEDLY when she screams, “What is HAPPENING?”
- Why does Clary’s mom have the Dark Mark? (#ProTip, ABC: Make things not look like other fantasy novels that the author sort of ripped off.)
- Ok, that demon is legit. I’m on board with these fx. This is less Scooby Doo-ish than I expected after seeing the first few moments of this trailer.
- JACE YOU SARCASTIC BASTARD I LOVE YOU.
- Gonna just watch Jace’s mouth the whole time. Petition for a whole show of Jace’s mouth.
- Silent Brothers look bad ass as hell.
- Jace just “that’s what makes you beautiful’ed” Clary and she is having none of it. #score
- “I’m ready!”
