5 reasons why Adele is Queen
Her Flawless vocals:
There are only a few artists that are as impressive live as they are on their albums. Along with people like Celine Dion (I don’t care what you think of her that woman can SING) and Jessie J (who is my spirit animal), Adele’s powerful voice gives me chills every time I hear her sing live. It is just so unbelievably effortless and no one performs with as much emotional intensity than her.
She’s Isn’t “Hollywood”
Adele seems like a genuinely humble and kind woman. In every interview I’ve ever read or watched, she seems just like a super down to earth woman who just happens to have this amazing talent. I would much rather hang out with her for a day than almost any other female musician.
Her Style
Is it weird for me to say that I am a little obsessed with her face? I literally think she is one of the most beautiful famous women out there. Every time I see her I wish I could do her makeup. Some women just have faces that wear makeup well without making them look like they need a ton of makeup, and she is one of those women. I also appreciate that the older she gets, the more beautiful she gets. Her face is as flawless as her angelic voice. Her makeup is always on point and her personal style is so classy and beautiful. Any girl who can rock a fake lash and winged liner like she does is aces in my book.
Her ability to not annoy the shit out of me like every other pop star
Adele tends to keep her life private but still has a great balance of documenting major life experiences through her music, without it feeling like she is putting people on full blast. Its genuine and you can relate to the passion in her voice and writing. Her songs take you to a place where it feels like you are in your own life story and you’re not just hearing about the singer/writers experience.
She takes her time to release quality music
The reason I know that we will eventually have an album called “50” is because she takes her time releasing her music. It seems like every successful pop star puts out so much music in such a quick succession to make the most of their popularity at the moment. Most of the time musicians just end up releasing crap because they know it will sell. Adele could have done this and made a ton of money, but the way she has spaced her music ensures that the stuff that comes out is worth listening to and allows us to build anticipation in the absence of new music.
Hello
Without further ado, let’s get to the video for Hello (because apparently artists still make music videos!) But first: can anyone tell me why they are using flip phones in this video? Is it supposed to be a reference as to passing time? She keeps saying, “I’ve must have called a thousand times.” Is he not picking up his phone because she is calling from 1998, when we all had flip phones? Do flip phones even exist anymore? Ponder this while you listen and watch her song and face.
This song, her voice, her coat- this is perfection! “25” will be released on November 20, so mark your calendars, pre-order now and set an alert on your flip phone! Are you as happy that Adele is back as I am?
