The Romantic Comedy
When we last left our heroes, Oliver and Felicity were riding off into the sunset, finally being able to explore their relationship and leave the stress, constant crime, and responsibilities behind. Oliver is no longer the Arrow and Felicity no longer needs to be the tech brains behind the scenes. Here is where I fill in the blanks. While these two may have tried to leave their past in the past, I cannot imagine one can give up crime fighting so easily. I picture both Oliver and Felicity becoming a bit bored, but not wanting to admit it. While the hot sex was enough for a while, eventually people need other things to be fulfilled. They both start to secretly crime fight behind each other’s back. Picture a Mr. and Mrs. Smith situation, but more about the stealth, really poor lies and less about trying to kill each other (nor any real on set affairs). Lipstick on Oliver’s collar, the telltale sign of cheating, has Felicity trying to catch him in the act. Reality is that Oliver saved a woman who passed out on his shoulder. Oliver thinks Felicity is having an online affair when she’s just trying to hide her techy powers to help the team back in Starling city. So many misunderstandings!

The Horror Film
While I readily accept most of the DC characters living in the same universe, it is a bit harder to imagine one where Constantine’s world of demons, angels, possessions, curses and omens overlaps with the one established by Arrow and Flash (and soon to be Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.) It isn’t that I can’t accept these things happening, but I guess that I don’t want to live in this world of human/meta-human mega villains and supernatural mega villains. What if Felicity became the next host of the anti-Christ and went all Insidious on everyone’s ass? Okay, so I have never actually seen Insidious, but I have seen enough Exorcist like movies and shows to know this could totally be a thing on Constantine (and it kind of was in the movie.) Sure, Felicity may die in order to stop the demon from rising, but it would make for good TV, right?

Perhaps I should just leave the writing to the actually writers on the show. (PSST…what about a sitcom version?!?)
Are you psyched about all the latest casting news? What about the non-news of the likely not going to happen crossover with Supergirl?
