Twilight Storytellers: The Twilight Short Films are here!

in on 07/17/15 by Emily 3 Comments

On Monday night I went to the Arclight in Hollywood and got to see the premiere of the Twilight Storytellers films- Seven short films exploring the backstories of some of the most beloved characters of Twilight. Of course #EGBTT.

There was a fun mingle happy hour where I spoke to one screenwriter/director duo but quickly realized I didn’t want to know anything about the films. I wanted to give a completely unbiased opinion on each of the films.

There are three that I really liked. They fit so well within the cannon of Twilight and I was excited to see and accept them as exactly what happened. I’ll put them below. If you want to vote, you’ll need to create a Tongal account and Vote here.

Check out this Q&A Stephenie Meyer did on Facebook this week about the Twilight Short Films and if Midnight Sun would ever be finished*:

*jk she dind’t address that.

We’ve Met Before

Want to know what happened when Alice met Jasper in the diner? This is an amazing take.

MASQUE

Esme’s story was only briefly touched on. We know that she was at her darkest point when she lost her baby and attempted suicide. This story takes place shortly after she was turned.

SUNRISE

We know the Cullens aren’t the only vampires and it’s evident when they have witnesses show up in Breaking Dawn. One of those covens was the Egyptian coven. Sunrise is the story of how Benjamin and Tia came into the vampire life. I really enjoyed this one because it’s not the expected story.

Have you watched the TWILIGHT STORYTELLERS Films? Which one is your favorite?
