Starz Outlander Panel at ComicCon Gives Us a Look at Season 2 Jamie and Claire

Before today, Outlander fans had been eagerly anticipating just what goodies were going to get dropped at the Starz panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Top contenders included, but were not limited to:
– full scenes of season 2 scenes already filmed and ready for popcorn viewing
– Sam and Caitriona coming out a Love Couple™
– non-accidental Fan Follows to everyone in the first 10 rows only
– Oprah-esque Favorite Things Giveaway to include Sam’s cell phone number, Best Friend necklaces for YOU and Caitriona, an honorary doctorate from the Diana Gabaldon CompuServe Academy and a Memory TweetBook Personalized by Ron and Terry documenting all of their best moments of marriage in 140 public characters.
– oh, and surprise casting announcement in the form of actual humans who are right this moment playing Roger and Brianna.

 

But thankfully, seriously thankfully, what they got instead was agreat discussion of season 2, a little sneak peak, and finally something we have been begging for … a bit of the season one gag reel!

THAT GOAT is the GREATEST. The Greatest Of All Time. The GOAT. Also, the sex scene giggles, those are great too.

Season Two of Outlander begins as Claire and Jamie arrive in France, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden.  With the help of his cousin Jared, a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful.  Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship.  However, armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising, and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it.

You know what Season Two DOESN’T start with …. Roger and Brianna. Pretty sure. PRETTY SURE. It’ll be ok, Outlander fans. Deep breaths. Remember, you like surprises.
