We started the day with an exclusive interview with our favorite lady-authors, Christina Lauren … and After author Anna Todd stopped by as well to play some That’s Normal style interview games. Keep on the lookout for those videos coming soon.
After that we headed over to lunch at one of our favorite San Diego spots, and then off to see what panels we could slink into, and which favorites we could find. We had good luck on all counts.
Nikki and I headed over to Hall H for the INCREDIBLE Game of Thrones panel. I was personally very excited to have it moderated by Seth Meyers. But we found out quickly that Conleth Hill needs to go work in stand up, and Gwendoline Christie continues to be Queen of All She Surveys. You can watch the full panel here.
Um, sorry Sophie Turner about the drunk elevator ride later that night. I don’t know why the Sound of Music was in everyone’s head.
Then we hung out in the really comfy and cool, but aptly named “press cage” for the EW Brave New Warriors panel, and got to see some SERIOUS FAVORITES, like Jordan Gavaris from Orphan Black, Zachary Levi from Chuck and the new Heroes Reborn and oh yeah, Sam Heughan. Geek Nation has the whole panel up if you haven’t seen it.
While Nikki and I were in Hall H, Jamie high-tailed it over to NerdHQ to see her #1 main squeeze, Stephen Amell from Arrow. Not only did he sing an adorable rendition of Disney’s Part of Your World that he dedicated to his daughter’s messy room, but he also answered Jamie’s question, “What is your go-to karaoke song?” with the head scratcher, Music of the Night. Check out Stephen’s panel here:
Then everyone else headed over for our very first Comic-Con Party at the Hotel Palomar rooftop pool bar. It was awesome to meet so many new friends and regular TN readers! Drinks were knocked over more than once, and drunken declarations might have been made. Old Twilight friends met new Outlander friends, and we learned a few things about Grindr. I wish we could all drink together all the time.
Sorry I was late to the party, everyone. I had to do a little thing called THE LUCASFILM STAR WARS PANEL. Full report to come. But suffice it to say, Day 2 was STELLAR. Get it? Star Wars jokes.
We have much more coming your way for Day 3 … with lots more fandom goodness including Outlander interviews and exclusives!
