Vegemite: Bringing the Wolverine and Dean Winchester Together Since 2015

Run my name through the #thatsnormal search bar and you’ll realize two things, I love Hugh Jackman and I love Supernatural.  So imagine my pure unadulterated bliss when the two fandoms *almost* collided.  The reason for this possible game changing scenario? Vegemite Yeast Extract.

Really this involves three fandoms, though, because it all started with my #1 Late Night guy, Jimmy Fallon, when a kid challenged Higgins and Jimmy to taste the Australian delicacy known as Vegemite.  Watch the hilarity…

And the joke carried on for weeks. Even Charlize Theron threw her opinion in to the fray, stating the Vegemite was fine … it was Jimmy’s bread that was crap.  Then Hugh Jackman came on the show and showed Jimmy how to properly eat yeast extract.

So now it’s become a thing. Australian actors, apparently, are obsessed with forcing their American counterparts into eating Vegemite. Watch as Mark Sheppard heckles Jensen Ackles from Supernatural into trying a “Cadbury Chocolate Vegemite.”

But he just didn’t know how to eat it!  For the love of all that is holy, can we please get a video where Hugh Jackman instructs Jensen Ackles on how to eat this Australian delicacy.  I’m picturing a nice breakfast scene with Vegemite on toast… they could have their shirts off… their hair could be tousled… Let’s make this happen people!
